ABOUT JACQUELINE

Hi there, I'm a psychotherapist, clinical herbalist, embodiment coach, mom (to a human and a dog), coffee aficionado, consciousness explorer, lover of  nature, avid forager, and a full-on human!  It has been my life work (so far) to work towards authentically living and being okay with being a messy, quirky, amazing human. With all this, I swear a lot, I cry, I'm goofy, I am imperfect (but okay with that) but I'm committed to growing as a human...and committed to helping others grow and also move towards being okay with themselves.  If there is a little part of you that also wants to feel more okay with yourself, please keep browsing! You're in a great place!

My  journey with mental wellness began with my own transformative therapeutic experience when I was 19. I was lost, struggling, and not doing well. I didn't know who I was and didn't have the skills to know how to work with my intense emotions. I needed help. I went to my first therapist and it was life changing! I learned so much and felt stronger than I had ever thought I could!  This experience and the relationship with my therapist was an inspiration for me to follow my pull to study psychology.  I  completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology  and my internship was on the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. in 2012.

After graduating,  I had an incredible opportunity to  travel to Hawaii to work doing  wilderness/horticulutral therapy on an organic farm with at-risk adolescents. This is the first place where I learned about the medicinal uses of herbs and plants and flourished in the “wellness” role where I worked caring for clients who were needing health and psychological support. It’s the first place I made teas from herbs like lavender and chamomile, and learned about the super protective and nourishing properties of cilantro!  It became obvious that food is medicine and medicine is food.

After completing my year contract  in Hawaii, I made a BOLD move! I listened to a call and bought a one way ticket to Asia! Holy shit, y'all! I took a leap and had a profound life experience where I traveled solo for 6 ½ months. While in Asia, I  volunteered on the Burmese/Thailand border at an abandoned children's home, I volunteered teaching English at a Cambodian eco village, and I completed my  first Vipassana (10-day, silent) meditation. I also travel to Nepal and ended up meeting my now husband in his little village during a festival!  This trip was so meaningful for my life and while traveling, I decided I was ready to gain more skills to be able to offer more to people. I decided to attend graduate school to become a psychotherapist!

I earned an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Transpersonal Mindfulness-Based therapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO in 2017.  Since graduating, I've  worked at the Eating Recovery Center (Eating disorder treatment center)  in Denver, CO and also for Wonder Inc (providing support for teens transitioning home from wilderness therapy programs). I received her 500+ hour Clinical Herbalism Certificate from Herbalism Roots in Denver, CO in 2021 and I'm now focusing on helping folks in my private practice and creating beautiful herbal lines to support mental health and wellbeing.

I love people and It's my honor to support folks  on their own unique healing journeys. I would be honored to help you reach your goals and support you in finding your way to live a flourishing, beautiful life!
